Take Your Kids to Jail

Bring the kids to Bodmin Jail!

Why Bodmin Jail?

Do your kids have a passion for history?  Engage them with the past at Bodmin Jail, the home of immersive heritage.  Following an £8.5 million investment, we can transport your family to the Georgian and Victorian eras, show-casing the fascinating changes to true crime and punishment over a 250 years.

Jail Entry (Self-Guided)

With family standard entry tickets on offer, you can explore the prison and its past at your own pace. Bodmin Jail is an experience that children and adults will never forget. A mix of entertainment and history, your children will come away with memories they will not forget.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This is because of the very real effects, loud noises, and stories that are part of the show. The experience takes around 90 minutes and we have staff all the way to help and guide you.

Child tickets for Jail Entry ar £13.50 with Infants 0-4 years being free of charge.

*Please note the existing building has some narrow, original doorways that are 75cm wide. This should accommodate standard size prams. However, visitors with wide prams should contact the attraction before visiting to discuss individual needs. We also have a buggy park at our entrance.
